The Advocacy Committee works to address local, federal, and corporate policy issues that affect our members’ ability to provide the public with news images. In 2007, the Advocacy Committee has been active in opposing abuse of photojournalists by law enforcement and restrictions on news photography by sports leagues, and has worked for the passage of a Federal Shield Law.
The new NPPA Find a Photographer service helps match freelance photojournalists up with individuals and companies who are looking for photographic talent. You must be an NPPA member to list yourself, but the talent bank is viewable by everyone who is looking for a photographer.
The mentoring program offers NPPA members the opportunity to establish a relationship with--and learn from--established veterans in the field.
