Kentucky News Photographers Host Contest, Speakers, In January

 

LOUISVILLE, KY (December 15, 2008) – The Kentucky News Photographers Association's annual POY Contest and Educational Seminar will be held January 16 and 17, 2009, at the Marriott East in Louisville.

Speakers scheduled to appear include Matt Detrich of the Indianapolis Star; Scott Strazzante of the Chicago Tribune; Emily Rasinski of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch; Steve Rhodes of WTHR-TV in Indianapolis; and Scott Jensen of KTUU-TV in Anchorage, AK, an Ernie Crisp Television News Photographer of the Year award-winner.

Contest judging will begin on Friday January 16 and is open to the public. Saturday's educational seminar features the speakers along with a vendor's room with new products on display.
