ST. PETERSBURG, FL (December 23, 2008) – The Poynter Institute for Media Studies created a book that features some of the best newspaper front pages from November's historic presidential election, and now it's on sale with a 25 percent discount off the cover price for NPPA members.
The book, "President Obama: Election 2008," was published in cooperation with dozens of American and international newspapers. The book's foreword was written by "Doonesbury" comic strip creator Garry Trudeau.
"President Obama: Election 2008" features a selection of 75 front pages that were submitted by editors for consideration. Poynter has published online a slideshow of many of the pages that were submitted and it can be viewed online here.
Profits from the book will help subsidize Poynter training for journalists, and NPPA is a publication sponsor of the book.
