January 30 Deadline For Best Of Photojournalism Still Photo, Editing, Web Categories
DURHAM, NC (January 25, 2009) – The entry deadline for NPPA's 2009 Best Of Photojournalism competition for still photographs, photo editing, and Web-based entries is coming up fast, January 30, 2009.
Television category entries were due January 23.
Register now to get your contest identification code and make Friday's deadline.
Judges will be announced closer to the March judging, which takes place again this year at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, FL, and at Ohio University's School of Visual Communication.
The Best Of Photojournalism contest committee is chaired by Harry Walker of McClatchy-Tribune Photo Service. Committee members include Terry Eiler, of Ohio University; Joe Elbert, retired from The Washington Post; Kenneth Irby, of Poynter; Keith Jenkins, National Public Radio; Clyde Mueller, The Santa Fe New Mexican; Deanne Fitzmaurice, freelance; Merry Murray, KSNW-TV; Ram Guzman, KTVT-TV; Eric Blumer, KCNC-TV; Bob Gould, Michigan State University; and Scott Jensen, of KTUU-TV.
