Independent Photographer's Toolkit Updated

DURHAM, NC (May 27, 2009) – Greg Smith, chair of the National Press Photographers Association's Business Practices Committee, has updated the Independent Photographer's Toolkit on NPPA's Business Practices Web page.

"Tough times mean many opportunities," Smith advised after announcing the Business Practices update. "Find them, pursue them, and be sure to follow good business practices so that you can profit from them."

NPPA is also looking for volunteers who are interested in continuing to add new materials to the Business Practices resources on the organization's Web site. "We would welcome new volunteers who are ready to roll up their sleeves and work toward providing good information and solutions to our challenged profession," Smith told NPPA's leaders. "Energy is every bit as important to this effort as expertise."

If interested in helping to keep NPPA's Business Practices section current and upated, then Smith would like to hear from you. Please write to him at mediasmith@hargray.com.
