WKU's Mountain Workshops Application Now Online

 

BOWLING GREEN, KY (July 9, 2009) – The Western Kentucky University photojournalism department is now accepting applications for the 2009 Mountain Workshops, which will be held this year in Murray, KY, from October 27 through October 31.

Workshop coordinator Jim Bye says there will be three concurrent workshops: photojournalism, multimedia, and picture editing.

Bye says there is no application deadline but advises that there are only a limited number of spots available. Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, lodging, and food. Hotel rates for the workshops are about $60 and up, Bye says, and there are plenty of restaurants in the area (Murray is a college town). The closest major airport is in Nashville, TN. Participants, other than picture editing, must have their own transportation during the workshops.
