Turk Pipkin Offers Fellow NPPA Members 2-For-1 L.A. Movie Benefit Premier Deal

 

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 14, 2009) – NPPA member and filmmaker Turk Pipkin is offering fellow NPPA members a special deal for the Los Angeles benefit premier of his new documentary film, "One Peace at a Time," which will be on Wednesday, October 21, at the Arclight Cinema on West Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.

Filmed in 20 countries on 5 continents, Pipkin's second documentary feature-length film "One Peace at a Time" looks at the possibility of providing basic rights to every child. The film features the insights of Nobel laureates Muhammad Yunus and Steve Chu (U.S. Secretary of Energy), Willie Nelson, and many others, with music by Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Cat Stevens, Explosions in the Sky, and Bob Schnieder.

"The evening benefits The Nobelity Project's education work, including our work to build Mahiga Hope High School in Kenya," Pipkin said.

Following the movie there will be a private party at the Artclight Cinema Balcony Bar for everyone who attended the premier.

Pipkin, who many know as an actor from the third season of The Sopranos or from his first documentary film, "Nobelity," which is now available on iTunes, says friends and supporters who have said they'll join him on the red carpet walk include Matthew McConnaughey, Cammilia Alves, Dennis Quaid, Billy Bob Thornton, Caroline Boudreaux (founder of The Miracle Foundation), and Cameron Sinclair (founder of Architecture for Humanity).

"Tickets are $100, but we're offering a two-for-one to NPPA members," Pipkin told News Photographer magazine today. "If an NPPA member buys one ticket and then sends an eMail to Christy Pipkin, they'll get a second seat."
