"Navigating The Downturn" Panel In Austin, November 11

 

AUSTIN, TX (November 2, 2009) – A National Press Photographers Association "Navigating The Downturn" panel discussion will be held at the University of Texas in Austin on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. 

The panelists, who are former newspaper and magazine staff photographers, will talk about maintaining a client base during an economic downturn.

The event is free and open to the public.

The panel will be held in the Jessie H. Jones Communication Building on the UT Austin campus, 3rd floor, Room 120, from 5:00 to 7:30pm CST.

The panel will feature: Alicia Wagner Calzada (formerly of the Orlando Sentinel, and an NPPA past president); Michael Mulvey (formerly of The Dallas Morning News); Robert Seale (formerly of the Sporting News), and Mark Sobhani (formerly of the San Antonio Express-News). The panel will be moderated by NPPA's Donald R. Winslow, editor of News Photographer magazine.
