Registration Open For 2010 Edit Foundry Digital Workshop

 

LONGMONT, CO (June 3, 2010) - Have you been to NPPA's Multimedia Immersion Workshop? Have you dabbled in video editing? Do you have Final Cut and want three days of intense, hands-on learning?

Then join us for the 2010 Edit Foundry Digital Video Workshop, from August 13 through 15, 2010.

"First off, this is NOT for beginners," said Edit Foundry Director Shawn Montano. "The workshop is designed for those with at least 6 months experience with Final Cut. I've designed the workshop for those who took some intro classes, are self taught in Final Cut, went to Immersion and want to learn more, or those who just want to brush up on some techniques. We are going to start the workshop with trimming. I feel trimming is a concept that's difficult to sometimes grasp, but it's vital to become a fast and efficient editor. Then the workshop will continue with audio and transitions in Final Cut."

Montano said the session will also include discussions "about editing on action, J and L cuts, YouTube editing, and intermediate editing theory."

"The workshop is hands-on training, so you'll learn a concept and then have assignment to complete. There will be plenty of time to apply what you learn instantly," Montano said.

Registration is limited to 24 participants, "so register now."

The 2010 Edit Foundry Digital Video Workshop is hosted by the Multimedia Graphic Design Department of Front Range Community College in Longmont, Colorado.
