June 9 Deadline For Submitting Resolutions To NPPA Board

 

DURHAM, NC (June 3, 2010) – National Press Photographers Association president Bob Carey announced that NPPA past president Clyde Mueller has been named as Resolutions Chair again his year, and that all resolutions to be considered by the NPPA Board of Directors must be submitted to Mueller by June 9, 2010.

The next Board meeting is scheduled for July 8, 2010, during NPPA's Convergence '10 event in Charleston, SC.

Any resolution to be considered must be submitted to the resolution chair at least 30-days prior to the board of directors meeting. Resolutions will then be distributed to the board at least 25-days prior to the meeting.

Resolutions may be submitted to Mueller via eMail at clydemueller@comcast.net.

NPPA’s Bylaws state, “These Bylaws may be amended by a 2/3 vote of the board of directors at any meeting thereof.”

NPPA’s Policies & Proceedures state: “These Policies and Procedures may be adopted, amended, altered, repealed or superseded, either in whole or part, by a majority vote of the board of directors. All amendments shall become effective upon the adoption by a majority vote of the board of directors, or on the date as otherwise provided for in the resolution.”
