Three days of workshops and training covering among other topics Storytelling, Interviewing, The Edit Foundry, Multimedia Editing Theory, Final Cut and Avid Training, Adobe CS4, Multiple Freelance Business Practice sessions, Wedding Photography Business Practice, Panoramas, Photoblogging, Intro to Multimedia, Multimedia Coaching, Reentering Academia, Sound and Audio Landscapes, and several Video and Still equipment demonstrations.
Women in Photojournalism, June 10, is in its 20th year of providing educational programming for all visual journalists and the NPPA is proud to make it a part of the most exciting week in visual journalism, Convergence 09. Speakers will include Kym Yancey, President and CEO of the eWomenNetwork, White House Staff Photographer Samantha Appleton, and REDEYE Founder Maren Levinson. Topics will range from surviving layoffs to storytelling to becoming a one-man-band.
The Edit Foundry is part of the Visual Journalism Workshops (June 11 – 13) this year. This day long session is a hands on workshop on Avid. The Edit Foundry is designed to give attendees an editing foundation to build upon. Everyone and anyone who edits video will learn in this unique setting.
