Convergence 09 Advance Registration Closes Friday
Advance registration for the Convergence 09 closes Friday at noon EST.  Walk up registration will be available at the door once the event begins. Pulitzer Prize-winner Patrick Farrell of the Miami Herald, Ernie Crisp Television News Photographer of the Year Darren Durlach of WBFF-TV in Baltimore, and Photojournalist of the Year (Small Markets) James Gregg of the Arizona Daily Star have joined the line-up of workshop leaders and speakers for NPPA's Visual Journalism Workshops coming up next week..more
Women in Photojournalism, pre-registration closes Friday noon EST, is in its 20th year of providing educational programming for all visual journalists and the NPPA is proud to make it a part of the most exciting week in visual journalism, Convergence 09. Speakers will include Kym Yancey, President and CEO of the eWomenNetwork, White House Staff Photographer Samantha Appleton, and REDEYE Founder Maren Levinson. Topics will range from surviving layoffs to storytelling to becoming a one-man-band.
Dart Center Ochberg Fellowships in Journalism and Trauma
Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 Dart Center Ochberg Fellowships, a unique seminar program for mid-career journalists who want to deepen their knowledge of emotional trauma and improve coverage of violence, conflict, and tragedy.
