| Biographical Statement | Troy Harvey is a freelance photographer and videographer with a passion for social documentary storytelling. Over the last few years he has worked on issues ranging from poverty in America to the clean up of Marijuana grow sites in the Sequoias. Troy is currently a student at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif. He is pursuing his BA in visual journalism and graduates August 2009. During his time at Brooks Institute, Troy interned at the Ventura County Star and The Bakersfield Californian. In 2008 he was accepted to the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop where he was recognized by B&H Photo. His work has been acknowledged by Sportsshooter in 2008 and was honored at the Marriott Ventura Beach Hotel in 2007 for the “Visions of Ventura” project. Troy was also the recipient of the first year award in visual journalism at Brooks Institute of Photography 2007. Troy is currently based in Southern California and is accepting freelance work anywhere in the world. | ||
