The NPPA Audio-Visual Library is a collection of slide-tape presentations and video VHS presentations covering all aspects of photojournalism. The presentations are designed for educational use and are available to rent for a four-week period. Many of the presentations are records of NPPA educational seminars such as the Flying Short Course. Tapes of the winners from the NPPA quarterly clip contests are also available.
NPPA audio-visual programs are protected by copyright and cannot be reproduced, copied or duplicated in whole or in any form whatsoever.
The rental period for NPPA Audio-Visual materials is four weeks plus a 5 day mailing period. The due date will be clearly indicated on a letter enclosed with the materials. Failure to return lectures on time will hinder your ability to rent from the NPPA in the future. Materials held over four weeks late will be assessed a $25 late fee unless previously arranged with NPPA. It is your responsibility to pay return postage, including insurance. Lectures must be returned via insured mail, UPS, FedEx, or Airborne. Failure to ensure the safe return of the lecture will result in a charge for the cost of the material. Please securely tape the clasp on all blue mailers.
Unless prior arrangement has been made, rental fees must be prepaid. Slide presentations are $15 for NPPA members and $20 for non-members per order. Video presentations are $15 for NPPA members and $20 for non-members per order with a few exceptions. Presentations with different rental prices are clearly marked. All presentations are shipped UPS Ground. Faster shipping is available for an additional fee.
Order the program desired at least 14 days prior to your class or presentation date. Be sure to include a second choice, a phone number, or an e-mail address in case the requested program is already checked out. Rental fees must be sent in with the order. NPPA accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Purchase Orders will be accepted only from institutions in good standing with the NPPA and then only for AV Library rentals.
