New Rules, Guidelines, Released For NPPA's 2007 Best Of Photojournalism
DURHAM, NC – The updated rules and guidelines for the National Press Photographers Association's 2007 Best Of Photojournalism competition – including “How To Enter” – are now posted online on the NPPA Web site, contest coordinator Thomas Kenniff announced this week.
The competition’s rules are available for all divisions of the contest: Still Photography, Photography Editing, Web Sites, and Television News Video.
The Best Of Photojournalism 2007 is sponsored again this year by Canon and Avid.
The online registration form will be active by the beginning of January 2007. Kenniff says NPPA will begin accepting Best Of Photojournalism 2007 entries on January 3.
Links to the rules and guidelines for each division are online here.
“There are some exciting changes in all the divisions of the contest this year,” Kenniff said. Some of the new elements include:
- Still Photo: new Humor and Serial Portrait Categories;
- TV News Video: new Web News Video Division, and Student Video Journalism divisions, and – big news – the contest entry fee has been eliminated;
- Web: new Audio Slideshow and Photo Gallery categories (replacing the category for picture stories).
More information about all these changes can be found by reading the entry rules online here.
“Get a jump start on the entry process! Read the rules, prepare your images, and get ready to register and submit your entries beginning January 3,” Kenniff said. For more information, contact him at email@example.com or by telephone at +1.919.383.7246 extension 16.
