CHICAGO, IL – Register online now to join us this Friday in Chicago at the 2012 Business Blitz Roadshow for the beginning of an exciting two-day event where you can learn how to develop the fundamental building blocks for creating a sustainable photography business in a changing marketplace.
Friday night's "State of the Industry" roundtable now includes panelists John H. White of the Chicago Sun Times and Scott Strazzante of the Chicago Tribune. They'll join panelists Stephanie Graham, a photojournalist who is currently an advisor with the Harrington College of Design, and photojournalists Sally Ryan and Robin Alam, along with host and moderator Scott Mc Kiernan, CEO and founder of ZUMA Press, to discuss inspiration and solutions.
The Chicago stop of NPPA's 2012 Business Blitz Roadshow will be at Calumet Chicago, 1111 N. Cherry Ave.
Even though Friday night's event is free, you'll need to register online in advance to attend. In addition to the roundtable, the evening includes socializing and a showcase gallery of winning images from our Best of Photojournalism contest.
On Saturday, NPPA's 2012 Business Blitz Roadshow begins at 9:00 a.m. with a program that includes NPPA media attorney and photojournalist Alicia Wagner Calzada going through contracts and fine print; PhotoShelter CEO Allen Murabayashi; LUCEO Images founder Matt Slaby; Kevin Moloney on transmedia storytelling; and Rich Clarkson, founder and CEO of Rich Clarkson and Associates of Denver, CO. Clarkson and Calzada are both NPPA past presidents.
Register online now and join us in Chicago this weekend. Friday night's events are free (but require online registration in advance). Saturday's program is $20 for NPPA members and $25 for non-members.
