ATHENS, GA (jULY 23, 2016) - The Multimedia Immersion Workshop has gained two co-directors to work alongside Seth Gitner, NPPA national secretary. Carli Cichocki and Jamie DePould will help Gitner run the workshop in 2017.
Carli Cichocki is a former workshop participant and is presently a freelancer video journalist based in Cleveland. Cilhocki was an intern at the most recent workshop. She is currently working on a graduate master's project at Syracuse University.
“Carli is a great storyteller and a very hard worker and to have a former participant volunteer to be a workshop co-director is just awesome,” Gitner said. “Coming out of the workshop, she was so energized about the experience that she then decided to change careers and attend graduate school here at Syracuse.”

Jamie DePould has attended all of the workshops held in Syracuse either as a coach or as a support tech.
“I have known Jamie since 2009 when he was my teaching assistant for the workshop,” Gitner said. “I believe he has been integral to the running the workshop ever since. He has always stepped up to help do whatever was needed to make the workshop a better experience for everyone.”
DePould has been a videographer, editor and producer at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland since 2011. He is a Syracuse University alumnus.
Gitner said the addition of these two new co-directors will help the workshop run more smoothly and give him the extra staffing he needs.
“I really appreciate all of the help I can get, and the workshop is a lot to produce for two people,” Gitner said. “To have both Jamie and Carli volunteer to help is a blessing. As co-directors we will share the responsibility to run the workshop.”
