DURHAM, NC (October 31, 2013) – Beginning immediately, News Photographer magazine and the National Press Photographers Association are once again represented by The Townsend Group of Bethesda, MD, for print advertising and Web site advertising sales.

Townsend Group CEO Holly Townsend along with Townsend CFO Christie Neuhaus and NPPA reached an agreement today so that Townsend is the sole and exclusive agent for NPPA's print and electronic advertising. A new 2014 Media Kit will be available to advertisers shortly, and any advertising buyers or agents who wish to still take advantage of placement in News Photographer's special December "Best Of Photojournalism" issue should contact The Townsend Group immediately.

"Thank you to Holly Townsend and Christie Neuhaus for making it possible for us to be partners once again," News Photographer magazine editor Donald R. Winslow said today.

"For many years News Photographer has enjoyed a core, long-standing group of advertisers and supporters during the decade that I've been the magazine's editor, and I look forward to working with Townsend to find new ways to reward our loyal advertisers with more, and even greater, opportunities for them in the coming year. And hopefully, we can find new ways to bring on board new advertisers and new products from folks who – hopefully – will join us for the ride for many years to come as well.

"We've got a new brand and logo, a new Web site, and digital and print opportunities for advertisers that puts us in a position to offer advertisers more now than we've ever been able to do before," Winslow said.

In the coming days the name of NPPA's new national account manager at The Townsend Group will be announced. In the meantime, contact Townsend through their Web site online here at www.townsend-group.com or by calling +01.301.215.6710.
