Niko Koppel, Róbert Csere Are NPPA's Picture Editors Of The Year

CORRECTION: The entry identification used to name the NPPA's Best of Photojournalism Newspaper Picture Editor of the Year (Individual) was not correct, contest committee chair Terrry Eiler said today. Niko Koppel of The New York Times should have been identified as the winner of this category. The information provided to the university by the computer server system identified only the entry account name, which was assistant managing editor Michele McNally (who prepared the Times' contest entries). "The New York Times and the Ohio University School of Visual Communication want to make certain Niko Koppel and his work are correctly identified and applauded," Eiler said. NPPA regrets the reporting error. - Editor
