NPPA Board Meeting Set For March 5, 2014
DURHAM, NC (February 3, 2014) – The National Press Photographers Association’s Board of Directors will meet by conference call on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. EST to further discuss and ratify initiatives made during the previous board meeting held in Athens, GA, on January 18-19, 2014.
The board’s actions at that meeting included approval of an interim 2014 budget and extensive discussions on the association's multi-year priorities and specific plans tied to the strategic goals.
NPPA governance committee chair Sean Elliot noted that due to an oversight, NPPA members did not receive timely advance notice prior to that meeting. “After consultation with the board’s professional parliamentarian, the board agreed to re-convene in March to ratify previous decisions and give our membership the required time to provide their input. Accordingly, all members in good standing may offer new resolutions and additional nominations for the positions of President, Vice President and Secretary until that time,” Elliott said.
Resolutions and nominations should be sent to Elliot at email@example.com.
