DURHAM, NC (May 13, 2014) – Greg Smith, the Business Practices Chair for the National Press Photographers Association, will be honored by the International Photographic Council (IPC) as NPPA's designated recipient of one of IPC's 2014 Leadership Awards this Thursday in New York.
IPC is a non-governmental organization of the United Nations that is celebrating it's 40th anniversary. They honor professional photographers and photography, and the 16th annual ceremony at the United Nations will kick off "International Professional Photography Month."
“The honorees, nominated by professional photography organizations, are selected because they best represent the groups’ criteria and ideals,” said IPC president James Chung.
