ROME, ITALY (February 4, 2014) - Shoot4Change and News Photographer magazine, along with the National Press Photographers Association, today announced a new Shoot4Minutes photography event that will be held in New York City on February 25, 2014.
"We are very proud to announce a new storytelling evening in collaboration with Soho Photo Gallery and sponsored by NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER magazine NPPA," Shoot4Change founder Antonio Amendola said today from Rome.
"Shoot4Minutes is a meeting point where those who have a story to tell, such as photography projects, documentary work or just a story in a pipeline, meet to share them. This is also an opportunity to meet, mingle and network with other photographers," he said.
Here are the S4M rules: Photographers will only have 4 minutes (not a second more, not a second less!) to say what they have to say and show what they have to show. All mediums of presentations are welcome.
"Four minutes can be a very short time. But they can also be enough to leave a suggestion, an idea, the desire to learn more," Amendola said. "Four minutes does not change the world, but they can be useful to put some order in our ideas, to be clear on what we want to say. It’s a game. And we’ll play as we like to do: having fun very seriously."
S4M will be at the Soho Photo Gallery, 15 White Street, New York City, on February 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST.
