June 14, 2021 - The NPPA is collaborating with the University of Alabama on a comprehensive survey - Photojournalism and COVID - about working during the pandemic. The survey also includes questions that will help the NPPA understand more about the needs of our members in the workplace. The results will also help us understand journalism as a whole, and for improving the education of future journalists.
We hope you will participate in the 15-20 minute survey about your experiences working through the COVID-19 pandemic. The multiple-choice and long answer questions will help researchers understand how journalists think about their work and how they conducted their work during the pandemic. Your information will be kept confidential. There is some potential for survey questions to make you recall uncomfortable memories.
We will post the results of the survey in a future story in News Photographer.
The survey is open for three weeks. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions. Contact Kaitlin C. Miller, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, University of Alabama. Or Sue Morrow, Editor, News Photographer magazine, NPPA.
