Attention professional still photographers! We're offering tuition grants for our 2014 line-up of educational programming. We're also able to offer a limited number of travel grants to help cover additional expenses. Applications will be accepted through Friday, February 14th.
PLEASE NOTE: The NPPA is able to provide these scholarships through funds distributed by The Authors Coalition of America (ACA), an association of organizations representing independent authors including illustrators, photographers, songwriters, text writers and visual artists. The main role of the ACA is to distribute money collected for copying non-title-specific works abroad, primarily in Europe. Non-title-specific works are those that cannot be identified individually or by copyright owner. Due to ACA restrictions on the use of the funds, we are only able to offer scholarships to professional still photographers, currently living in the US, whose published work is reasonably capable of being reprographically reproduced (i.e. photocopied) abroad.
We are offering grants for the following 2014 events.
Northern Short Course, March 13-15 in Warwick, RI
News Video Workshop, March 16-21 in Norman, OK
Advanced Storytelling Workshop April 6-11 in San Marcos, TX
Multimedia Immersion, May 13-17 in Syracuse, NY
All applicants will be notified about the status of their applications by Tuesday, February 25th at the latest, but we will try to notify applicants for Northern Short Course and News Video Workshop grants as quickly as we can after the submission deadline, since the event dates are right around the corner!
