Oct. 15, 2012 - Aleppo, Syria - A 23-year-old government sniper is taken to an FSA controlled hospital. He is in critical condition after the bullet hit a nerve in his leg. Before he was shot, he shot and killed a woman and her child. Some of the personnel in the hospital want to see him dead. At the Dar al Shifaa hospital in Aleppo, an endangered safe haven on the rebel side of the ancient city, doctors scrambled to keep up with the wounded: And in a split second, a Syrian government airstrike eviscerated the building. An incoming air attack sent hospital workers, nearby civilians and several rebel fighters scrambling for cover. Syria's conflict, initially inspired by the Arab Spring, has steadily turned into a civil war.
