Chan, who was bringing the fish to a restaurant for display in their tank, often stops by the tiny store that has been owned by his brother-in-law Djin Kwie Liem for the last 32 years. Liem said his fish come from all over the world a including locations in Singapore, India, Thailand and Africa. The cheapest fish sell for about 25 cents. The store can be found on Maynard Alley South, just off of South King Street.
