The judging in the 2017 Video Best of Photojournalism has been completed at Michigan State University and the finalists for Photographer of the Year and Stations of the Year have been announced.
Familiar names are on the lists. Rob Collett of KARE in Minnneappolis, the current Photographer of the Year, is a finalist again this year. Jason Lamb of WTVF in Nashville likewise has a chance to repeat in the Photojournalism Award for Reporting.
The winners will be announced June 2 at the Rocky Mountain Storytelling Workshop Video Awards in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Andy Buck and Andrea Lyon were the judges for the editing division. Cyndy Green, Mike Harris and Eric Seals were judges for the photography division. Merry Murray was contest chair, Shawn Montano was video editing chair and Bob Gould was the competition host at Michigan State University.
