Rocky Mountain Storytelling Workshop

Join us in Beautiful Salt Lake City Utah June 2nd-4th for the NPPA Video Awards and Storytelling Workshop.

The weekend will kick off Friday night at 6pm with the awards show beginning at 8pm hosted once again by 10News San Diego’s Joe Little.

Stay with us all day on Saturday Jun 3rd for the Rocky Mountain Storytelling Workshop brought to you by KSL television. Highlighted by an interactive Q&A session with the attendees and the newly crowned Ernie Crisp Photographer of the Year and the NPPA Reporter of the Year. Also an MMJ panel with some of the biggest names from the top of the Solo VJ Standings. We will be releasing other presenter and schedule info leading up to the show in the next few weeks.

Stick around Sunday morning for hours of individual story critiques from some of the best storytellers in the business. Our goal is to make this workshop the most interactive and engaging you’ve been to, we’re here to answer questions you have about your individual development. If you are a seasoned storyteller we want you here in June so you can give back as well.

Flying—SLC--- Salt Lake City International Airport

Driving—Salt Lake City is located in Northern Utah at the intersection of I-80 east-west and I-15 North South. KSL Studios are located at 55 N 300 W downtown Salt Lake City.

Booking your Flight—The Awards begin at 8pm Mountain Time on Friday, get in early and enjoy Beautiful Downtown Salt Lake City.  Book your return flights for Sunday night so you can hang out and participate in our critique sessions.

Transportation during the workshop--- Your feet! Everything is walking distance from our KSL Studios downtown. Arrive at the airport and take our UTA TRAX light rail, 10 minutes to the Arena Station which is right next door to our KSL studios. Then enjoy the rest of downtown by riding our convenient light rail for free while you are downtown enjoying the workshop.


Where to stay--- There are many great downtown hotels just blocks from the workshop.  The Hyatt Park Place and Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites have offered special reates for attendees. More information on both options is below. If you are looking for cheaper hotel or Air B&B options nearby, they are available as well and a short Uber or train ride away from all the activities.

KSL Master storyteller Peter Rosen will show us how he collects moments and weaves together beautiful stories all while working solo. His unique brand of shooting, writing, and editing have led him to be named NPPA Reporter of the Year in 2008, a Finalist for National Editor of the year in 2016, and the current front-runner for Solo VJ of the year in NPPA Quarterly Clips. Peter will also sit on our "World Famous MMJ Panel" so all the young MMJ's out there can pick his brain.
