Aaron C Dobiesz
Photographer, Free Lance
As I'm sure is the case with most of us, I started in photography when I was old enough to hold a camera (even if my parents didn't put film in it). I did not get into it professionally until College; The University of South Florida student newspaper. But my high-school years actually produced some of my best subjects to date (landscapes and city-scapes) because I was able to travel due to due to my fathers business, mostly all over Europe but also the Caribbean.
I have found that my passion in professional photography is mainly with sporting events. Although being a pilot and captain (the water kind) has produced some interesting photography on the water. I will never turn down a job shooting on the water, I have yet to find one that I did not enjoy. Offshore Grand Prix, boat manufacturer sponsored shoots, fishing tournaments, etc...
When not on assignment I find myself gravitating to landscapes, cityscapes, wildlife and candids (probably in that order).
Beauty photography is something I have always had an interest in, mainly because I have a great appreciation for the end product, but have little experience with it. BUT, if you ever need a second shooter (I know this falls outside of the NPPA, but we are all multi-faceted) I am very able to produce high quality work in the discipline.
From a gear capability standpoint: I am a Canon loyalist, CPS member; because that does matter to some people. I am 21mp full frame and 18mp APC-C Censor, 14mm (corrected) to 1200mm+ (the APS-C allows for very fast shooting out to 960mm). Along with 30fps full HD through that same lens array. And have more GoPro Cameras than I would like to admit to, and every imaginable mounting system, including more than one homegrown system. That collection includes two brand new Gen III Blacks (in-case very high video quality is a requirement for you). I have access to multiple boats and planes if need be.
On my Canon loyalty, I have to say, talent trumps all, I hired a Nikon shooter for my wedding photographer.
