Alvin Jornada is currently a staff photojournalist at The Press Democrat daily newspaper in Santa Rosa, California. Alvin was also part of the San Francisco Chronicle photo editing team that was awarded the NPPA's Newspaper Picture Editors of the Year in 2014. His photography experience includes covering northern California wildfires, documenting social issues, and shooting all manner of high school and college sports. Previously, he worked as a freelance photographer contributing to the European Pressphoto Agency, San Francisco Chronicle and a variety of international editorial and commercial clients.

His photographs have appeared in The New York Times; Washington Post; Los Angeles Times; San Francisco Chronicle; TIME NewsFeed; MSNBC News; The Press Democrat; Sacramento Bee; New Jersey Star-Ledger; NRC Handelsblad (Netherlands); The Daily Mail (U.K.); Der Standard (Austria); Focus (Germany); Wine Spectator; Sonoma Magazine; and numerous other international media publications.
