I am a photojournalist specializing in the fields of editorial, sports and multimedia visual journalism.
I graduated from Grinnell College in the Spring of 2011, earning a B.A. in Biological Chemistry. I have interned at the Coeur d'Alene Press (ID), worked as a Staff Photographer for Grinnell College's Office of Communications, and recently completed an internship in Salt Lake City at the Deseret News. After completing my time in Utah, I returned to Minneapolis-St. Paul to continue to build my photographic and visual story-telling abilities, and began freelancing for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. I am currently living and working in Madison, WI and freelancing for the Wisconsin State Journal and The New York Times.
From professional sporting events to breaking spot news and transmitting assignments on deadline, I am a photographer who delivers skillfully-crafted, compelling imagery across a plethora of subjects — large and small. With a focus on isolating moments of "controlled chaos" in many of my photos, I am an adventurous and motivated photographer that seeks to capture those minutiae that slip by often unnoticed. I am available for contract and freelance work in the Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois areas.
