Photo Editor, ViewFind
I create visual experiences in print and online.
With a background in studio art, photojournalism and documentary film, I'm an editor working across multiple platforms to tell stories that matter.
- Photo Editor for ViewFind, a photojournalism startup aimed at bringing visual stories to a mass audience while helping photojournalists monetize their archives and get commissions.
- Project Director for Family. Life., a global collaborative student project about family sponsored by PhotoShelter, PDN, and ASMP.
- Editor of 55 Days, a narrative non-fiction short film about letting go, coming Spring 2015 from Haptic Cinema and Lua Pictures.
- Founder of Lua Pictures, a boutique post-production studio specializing in experimental, evocative, and intimate narrative nonfiction film.
I earned my M.S. in Photography from Syracuse University where I was an Instructional Associate teaching photography and multimedia production to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Graduate Assistant to Mike Davis, Chair of the Alexia Foundation for World Peace.
I began my career as a photojournalist after earning my B.A. with Honors in Studio Arts from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. My work has been recognized by The National Press Photographers Association and College Photographer of the Year. I'm an alum of Eddie Adams Barnstorm XXVI, The Kalish Visual Editing Workshop, and The Mountain Workshops.
I currently reside in a small river town between NYC and Philadelphia in Bucks County, PA with my partner and our pup.
I am a member of ASMP and NPPA.
