Danielle McGrew Tenbusch
Freelance, Danielle McGrew Photography
I graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2013 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with an honors degree and B.S. in Journalism, specializing in Photojournalism and a minor in Anthropology.
After graduating, I moved to Michigan to begin an internship with MLive Media Group/The Bay City Times. I was able to renew my internship through early June 2014 and have been working as a freelancer since then. My clients include the Midland Daily News and the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw.
During my time at SIUC, I worked as an assistant wedding photographer and freelance photojournalist. I was a leader in the student NPPA group and involved in the design and production of several weekend workshop photo books. Most notably, my yearlong documentary project, a book titled Through My Lens: Family Farms in Southern Illinois, was printed by the SIU University Press in June 2012.
When not making photos, you can find me spoiling my dog Allie, baking or enjoying nature.
