Brad's career as a photojournalist spans almost two decades of documenting some of themost culturally-rich corners of the American landscape, including the Navajo people of Arizona, the Music City of Nashville, the Southern culture in Louisiana and Alaska's vast frontier. He strives to capture the essence and spirit of the subjects in his images and uses photography to illustrate his love for the outdoors.
Brad has been the chief photographer at the Jackson Hole News&Guide in Jackson, Wyo., since 2004 and was photo editor of Jackson Hole Magazine, a bi-annual publication of news and features on the Greater Yellowstone region, from 2005-2017.
Brad lives on the west side of the Tetons in Victor, Idaho, with his wife, Jeannette, their kids, Adeline and Will, and an old blue heeler, Sadie.
Brad's photography and photo editing has been recognized with several state, regional and national awards from a variety of organizations, including the Wyoming Press Association, Michigan Press Photographers Association, Arizona Press Club, Idaho Press Club, National Newspaper Association, Inland Press Association, National Press Photographers Association and the NPPA's Best of Photojournalism competitions.
He was named the 2015 Photographer of the Year by the Wyoming Press Association.
Under his direction, the Jackson Hole News&Guide was awarded Best Use of Photography by newspapers with less than 75,000 circulation in the National Press Photographers Association's 2014, 2015 and 2018 Best of Photojournalism Editing competitions, and earned Best Use of Photography by the Wyoming Press Association for 2014-2018.
