I have been shooting photos for 40 years mainly as adjuncts to my magazine and newspaper articles as well as for documenting equines in my Riverbend Equine Services appraisal, consulting and research business. I also do portraits, photograph events and enjoy occasionally working as a photo assistant. As an article writer I shoot photos or select stock. My work has appeared in Polo Players' Edition, Chronicle of the Horse, Polo Quarterly International, Fox News (Caribbean), Detroit Free Press, Ann Arbor News, Quest NYC, Annals of Vascular Surgery, among others. I wrote award-winning article about the Pan Am Games equestrian facilities creation in Dominican Republic; the cover article in an award-winning magazine about the American Horse erected in Grand Rapids, which is a sculpture 500 years in the making that was finished by philanthropists Fred and Lena Meijer. Recently I won 2nd place in national competition of equine journalists (American Horse Publications) for an article that appeared in the luxury quarterly Untacked called "Artful Dodgers." My article was about recovered art from the WW II Gurlitt cache located by police in Munich. I have interviewed high profile figures in competition, philanthropy, science, art and politics.
