Carrie Collins is a freelance visual journalist based on the East Coast. With over 20 years of experience in press photography, she works as a regular contributor to several major news outlets. Carrie believes that journalists have a duty to shine a light on the human experience providing a mirror for society to examine itself. With a love for travel, Collins is an adventurer and a storyteller whose aim is to capture the expeditionary heart of any situation she shoots.

Carrie's reportage work has been distributed worldwide through news and photo agencies. Her documentary work on the current Resist movement and disaster relief efforts post Hurricanes Irma and Maria have been featured on social media by LensCulture and The American Collective.
