Photographer and Visual Journalist
I am Amanda Cohen.
I'm a photographer and student journalist based in Gainesville, Florida.
I specialize in passionate, original and visionary portraiture and travel photography.
I create beautiful portraiture, photojournalism and travel photography. I am guided by superior ethics, originality and a creative fervor.
When I'm not behind my lens or writing, you'll find me hard at work on the University of Florida campus finishing my Bachelor of Science in Journalism. I love to travel and I love my job!
I spent the Fall 2012 semester living in New York City interning in the photography department of Conde Nast Traveler and Hearst Studio D, the in-house photo studio for all Hearst publications. My previous work includes nightclub and event photography at Nightlife Unleashed and the University of Florida representative for The News and Observer's college football tailgating party showcase website FansTailgate.com. In addition, I was a contributing writer and photographer for The Independent Florida Alligator- the largest student-run newspaper in the country with a circulation of 35,000- and The Fine Print -an alternative bi-monthly Gainesville publication serving the scoop on politics, investigative journalism and campus news.
I am currently available for freelance work.
