Barton Bishoff is a Chicago-based filmmaker, journalist, and musician, currently working as a photojournalist at WGN-TV in Chicago, Illinois. After a 5 year stint at Yahoo! Inc. and 5 years at NBC Bay Area, KNTV (NBC), Barton founded DoF Media LLC in San Francisco, a company which produces documentary films. Barton collaborated with KTF Films to produce Theory of Obscurity, a music documentary premiering in 2015 at South by Southwest/SXSW in Austin, Texas. Batkid Begins (Warner Bros. Pictures ) was also a recent project with Barton joining the team of cinematographers for the film. Bishoff's career in broadcast journalism has been recognized with 9 Emmy Awards, 18 Emmy nominations, over 20 Associated Press Awards, RTNDA Best Reporter/Photojournalist/Editor 2003-2004, and the Edward R. Murrow award for Best Documentary Directing "Close to Home," a film about 9/11.
