David Walter Banks, a Southerner who now calls Los Angeles home, is a photographer specializing in documentary, portraiture and long-form project work. His clients include Rolling Stone, Variety, TIME Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, NPR, Fortune Magazine, The FADER, Stern, Smithsonian, Mother Jones, AARP, US News & World Report, Bloomberg Businessweek, Apple, Ford, Bud Light, Amazon, Red Bull, Chase, Citibank, Samsung, Target, Toyota, Google, Facebook, and ADIDAS.
Banks has been interviewed by PDN, Rangefinder, American Photography, TIME’s Lightbox, aPhotoEditor, The New York Times Lens Blog, and CNN about his work. His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and the Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs: Print Collection at the New York Public Library.
