I started my career in 1977 as a news photographer for the Hanford Sentinel, Hanford, CA. I worked on editing/layout desks until 1998 when I took a job as systems editor for The Fresno Bee. My first job in Fresno was to help the photo, art and library staff understand their new digital tools which included a new SCC Mediaserver archive system. In 2017, I was made Visuals editor as part of McClatchy's Reinvention process where our attention was focused on producing video.
