Photojournalist, Air National Guard
I was born and raised in southern New Jersey, and went off to college where I got my BFA in Computer Animation from Bowling Green State University. Also during that time, I entered into service with the U.S. Air Force. I have traveled a lot of the world with the military, having been to South Korea, Japan, Germany, Kuwait, The United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. After leaving the active duty side of the military, I worked as a graphic designer/photo editor/photographer, where I did everything from taking photos of bands (Raven Simone, The Beach Boys, Steppenwolf), to working for two years as Miss America's photo retoucher.
Lately, I've been working as a broadcast/photojournalist for the Air National Guard, and have been published in Time Magazine: Battlelands, The Atlantic: In Focus, The Air Force Times, Gizmodo, Spin Magazine, Stars & Stripes, The Seattle Chronicle, World News, and U.S. News, JWings Magazine, Code One Magazine, Boeing Blogs, Guard Experience Magazine, and Airman Magazine among others. I've also had some of my video work used by the BBC, History Channel, and Military Channel for shows such as The Hunt for Bin Laden.
When I get the chance, I like to remain creative in other fields, and had the pleasure of doing special effects for the theatre production Galactic Girl, which was showcased at The 2011 New York Comic Con.
