Photojournalist, KSPR 33
Jonathan Wahl is a recent graduate from College of the Ozarks where he double majored in journalism and video production.
As a new photojournalist with KSPR 33, Jonathan is very excited to have found a place where he can use his passion for the news and where he can visually tell a story to his audience.
Jonathan is a hard working, dedicated individual. With a desire for excellence he applies himself fully in all areas of life.
As a means to pay his way through college, Jonathan started his own photography business in 2010. By using social media and other marketing tools he has grown his small business into a stable source of income – last summer alone Jonathan photographed 13 weddings. Jonathan has also photographed a wedding in Canada and was a staff photographer on a trip to China and to the Philippines. By running a small business while in college, Jonathan has learned to manage his time wisely and how to run a business on a meager budget.
Jonathan also worked 15 hours a week to pay for his tuition at College of the Ozarks. To do this Jonathan worked as a student manager in their Communication Arts department. There he created videos and helped lead other student workers as the completed their video/audio jobs. During his time working for the school Jonathan learned valuable leadership skills and was given the opportunity to direct community events and basketball games to be aired on television.
Last summer Jonathan also interned with both KOLR 10 news and Jackson Appleton Production. Both of these internship gave him valuable insight into the world of news and of production.
