I believe passionately about our connection to the natural world, supporting local economies and being outdoors as a form of self care.

Growing up in the East Bay, I studied photojournalism at SF State but followed my love for rural communities living and working in the Black Hills of South Dakota for over a decade.

My commercial clients include Google, Samsung, Coca-Cola, and Red Cloud Indian School. I’ve also documented news and communities for The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, BuzzFeed, and many others I’m incredibly grateful for. In a past life, I was the first female staff photographer and the first female photo editor at The Rapid City Journal.

My current project is one I’m most passionate about, and in a lot of ways, the hardest to do. I’m in the process of wrapping up a book with Kehrer Verlag (Germany) about my mom who is living with Alzheimer’s, and our shared love of nature.

While Portland (Ore.) is now home, I’ll road trip anywhere, anytime, especially if it involves packing a tent and a fly rod. I always love the chance to see more rainbows.
