Laressa Watlington is the founder, executive producer and digital branding strategist at Denver Promo Studios.

Laressa is an innovator in the bilingual media market and has worked to create digital and video products that promote diversity and understanding.

She has extensive experience in print, broadcast, and online media. In her previous position as a digital journalist for NBC Universal/Telemundo, Laressa received multiple awards, including an Award of Excellence from the Colorado Broadcasters Association for Best Station Website. She has won three Editor & Publisher awards and an Emmy for her videography in the documentary “Final Edition.” In 2014 she received an Award of Excellence from the CBA for the documentary “The Cliff Effect”, which she produced in conjunction with Rocky Mountain PBS and the I-News Investigative Network.

Recently, Laressa and her husband Daniel Watlington worked with the International Center for Journalists to create multiple training videos on ethics and investigative journalism for journalists in Latin America.

They have also worked with the Latino Leadership Institute and 9News to produce feature stories of Latino trailblazers in Colorado. Laressa holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Marymount University and Master's degree in Interactive Journalism from American University.
