Biography

Maggie Andresen is a photojournalist and graduate of Temple University's Klein College of Media and Communication. She has been published in print both locally and nationally, including features in The Denver Post, The Times-Picayune, Where Rome, and The Journal News. She has been featured online by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, AJ+, denverpost.com, and nola.com. Her photography has been featured on CNN and ABC World News.

Maggie worked as a Princeton in Africa fellow for one year working as a photographer and videographer with the small Rwandan non-profit Gardens for Health International. She was honored by the Thomson Reuters Foundation and Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition with the Food Sustainability Media Award.

Currently, Maggie is based between Kigali and New York.

She aspires to work as a documentary photographer and filmmaker.
