Join us for the first Georgia Drone Summit October 20-21, 2017 at the Classic Center in downtown Athens, GA.
The Georgia Drone Summit will take your drone knowledge to new heights, gathering students and educators, operators and curators, professionals and enthusiasts to collectively explore drone technologies and applications.
Applications for drones know no bounds; the sky is no longer the limit. This is one form of emerging technology that can provide benefits to almost all areas: agriculture, surveying, engineering, journalism, marketing, tourism and more. The Summit aims to capture the diversity of drone applications, connecting professionals across a wide array of industries.
By reaching so many sectors, drones can provide sustainable, meaningful effects across the state of Georgia and beyond. Gathering a wide range of driven individuals thirsty for knowledge under one roof for two days, we will explore the technology’s possibilities, strengthen professional networks, and help uncover the advantages drones can bring to your industry.
In addition to plenty of networking time, this two-day program will feature a festival-style showcase of innovative drone projects along with keynote presentations and panel discussions covering technology, business practices, legal issues and ethics. The Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia is collaborating with a diverse group of partners—including CNN Aerial Imagery and Reporting (CNN AIR), Turner Entertainment, The Weather Channel, the National Press Photographers Association, and the New Media Institute—to convene this conference.
Diving into an array of topics including ethics, emerging technology, and specialized application, the Georgia Drone Summit will help you make the best possible use of drones in a way that serves your community and your needs. Join us for keynote sessions and panels, to learn, to discuss, and most importantly, share knowledge and inspire connections in one of the fastest growing industries. The drone journey is only just taking off; together we can reach new heights.
The Georgia Drone Summit is a collaborative journey. We hope to share this journey with you.
